We are exploring this through cultivating Missional Living Communities in neighborhoods across Portland.

Missional Living Communities

Mission: To gather, encourage, and mobilize young people who desire to participate in intentional community and serve their city together.

Vision: To see missional communities established in all 97 neighborhoods of Portland.

Purpose: To partner with God in bringing transformation to our city, one neighborhood at a time.

How do we build these communities?

    We exist to connect you with other young people in our city who share the same desire to see Portland as it is in Heaven.

  • Encourage

    As you join this new community, we intend to stay connected and provide additional resources to help your home thrive.

  • Mobilize

    Do you have a desire to pioneer your own missional living community? We would love to empower and commission you in doing so!

Recommended, often Foundational, Community Rhythms

  • Fill out the brief inquiry form below! Then one of our team members will reach out to you and serve as a connecting point between you and other young people who have filled out the inquiry form as well.

  • Include in the inquiry form that you desire to lead. Make sure to include any other names of young people who intend to live in community with you. Someone from our team will follow up virtually or in person for an interview and to go through the MLC handbook with you.

  • Absolutely not! Our mission, vision, and core values as YWAM PDX are rooted in scripture and therefore designed to be shared and pursued with any and all members of the body of Christ!

  • Missional Living Communities are initiated and facilitated by YOU. YWAM PDX provides a handbook of key values, helpful resources, and recommended rhythms to utilize as you journey into a new way of living life with others.

    Elsewhere, the Apprenticeship Program is largely facilitated and led by YWAM PDX with the goal of equipping you to lead your own Missional Living Community in one of 97 neighborhoods in Portland.
